My multiple-subject teaching credential program at the University of La Verne requires its graduate students to perform fieldwork hours at an assigned school for a designated classroom/grade level. All of this prepares them for student teaching, which provides rigorous experience to occupy the position of a full-time teacher for 15 weeks.
The interactive fieldwork experience served to be very valuable for my professional and personal development, and even well-being. I greatly enjoyed my time working with teachers, faculty, staff, parents, and students to improve my teaching skills. I took advantage of almost every single opportunity to prove to be an important asset for the schools I performed my fieldwork at.
Overall, I worked with Kindergarten, 3rd-grade and 4th-grade students to deliver exceptional lesson plans in English Language Arts, SDAIE, and ELD.
